The National School of Local Administration “NASLA” has recorded a successful participation in the 10th edition of the Fair on Government Action, better known by its French acronym SAGO; from Sunday July 25 to Saturday July 31, 2021 at the Yaoundé Multipurpose Sports Complex. The event, which held under the theme “From the GESP to the 2020-2030 National Development Strategy: What prospects for Cameroon?” was officially opened by Cameroon’s Minister of Communication, Mr. Emmanuel Rene SADI, representing the Prime Minister, Head of Government, on Monday July 26, 2021, at 2 p.m.
SAGO 2021 offered the NASLA delegation the opportunity to explain to the public the mission and objectives of the NASLA, for a better understanding and relationship between the general public and the institution that seeks to be a leader in the field of training in decentralisation, not only in Cameroon, but also in the Central African Sub-Region.
It was also an opportunity for NASLA to get a feel of how much Cameroonians know of the school after one year of existence, and their level of interest in the Institution.
By a rough estimate, about nine hundred people visited the NASLA stand at SAGO, with 464 of them happy to write their names on NASLA’s guests log book. The Visitors to the NASLA stand were from all the strata of society; (from ministers to the common man). Some of the guests were received and attended to by NASLA officials like the Deputy Director General Madame ONGOLO Lidwine, the Director of Trainings, Mr. TEUBISSI Joel, and the Unit Head for Communications and Public Relations, Mr. NYEMB Isaac Calmant.
In all, the event enabled NASLA to further promote the prestigious image of the new establishment.
